On 4/14/2008 the Hillsdale Police Department in cooperation with the George White School held their annual D.A.R.E. program graduation ceremonies. In an effort to continue to provide superior performance and reliability, PSE&G has identified the need to install a new gas main on Wierimus Rd. The work will commence on or about March 24th, 2008 and will continue for approximately 12 to 14 weeks.
Work hours will be from 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday with no night or weekend work anticipated at this time.
Any excavation work performed will be restored by temporary means immediately upon work completion to allow for necessary ground settlement.
It shall be necessary to schedule an appointment with the residential homeowners in the area in order to transition customers from the old gas main to the new one. In addition there may also be brief gas disruptions while the new service is installed. PSE&G service personnel will re-light any gas appliance requiring this attention after the restoration of gas service to the home.
PSE&G will notify residents in writing with instructions on how to contact them when it is time to replace their gas service. If residents have any questions please contact Mr. Larry Cleaver at 201-967-5010 between the hours of 7:30-8:00am and 3:30pm to 4:00pm or leave a voice message after 4:00pm. Please be sure to leave your full contact information and a telephone number.
