The Hillsdale Police Department maintains a computerized database of relevant contact information for the many businesses, companies, and store fronts in the Boro.  Often, this data becomes quickly outdated.  As a result, the HPD is continually updating all records associated with the businesses located in town.  Under the direction of P.O. Tom Smith, the HPD is attempting to obtain the most up-to-date contact information available for the various stores, companies, and businesses that operate within the Boro. 

Having accurate information about businesses, their respective locations, keyholders, contacts, and alarm info is crucially important for our police officers when handling emergencies or alarm calls at a store front, company, or business in town.  Often, an efficient response and an effective disposition of an emergency call at a business comes down to the timely information available to our responding units. 

In an effort to supply our officers with the best possible information about the Boro's many businesses, P.O. T. Smith is asking all business owners to take a moment to accurately complete our BUSINESS INFO UPDATE FORM .  This data will be compiled and stored in the department's private computer system, for use by police officers only, when handling emergencies, alarm calls, and other incidents that may occur at a business, especially during off-hours. 

In addition to collecting contact information, P.O. T. Smith is also interested in ensuring that all businesses and companies have registered their security and fire alarm systems with the Boro of Hillsdale.  Pursuant to Boro Ordinance, all alarm systems must be registered with the Police Department. 

P.O. Smith would like to receive all related updates and paperwork for the businesses in town as soon as possible.  In order to make that goal practical and convenient for business owners, the necessary forms are posted on the website .  Businesses are encouraged to print the forms from the webpage, complete them, and return them to the HPD either in person, by mail, or by fax.  Alternatively, businesses may also e-mail the data directly to P.O.
