Often, residents will have non-emergency requests for the police.  In a case where 9-1-1 is not appropriate, anyone who needs to contact the Hillsdale Police Department can call the Police Desk twenty-four hours a day.  Our police officers or our civilian dispatchers are on hand to receive calls, answer questions, and refer assistance. 

The following are some basic examples of non-emergency circumstances that may require the attention of the Hillsdale Police Department:

• suspicious auto complaints
• suspicious persons or activity
• parking complaints
• noise complaints
• animal complaints
• request for overnight parking
• disabled motor-vehicle, calling for assistance/towing
• and other non life-threatening situations
