The HPD offers a variety of classes and programs for the students of the Boro's schools. These programs and classroom discussions cover a variety of topics and subject areas. In an effort to build a relationship with the students at an early age, HPD officers visit all the different grade levels, trying to educate children on safety. Below is a brief listing and summary of the programs offered:
Elementary Level

911 Program - A course taught to first year students of all school explaining when and how to use the 911 system.

Otto the Auto - Film and discussion on pedestrian safety.

Child Registry Program - To positively ID children of the Boro by fingerprint, photo and personal data, should a child be reported missing or found.

Danger/Stranger Program - To Teach kids what to do should they encounter a stranger or dangerous situation.

D.A.R.E. - Eight (8) week middle school level program getting students to reconnect to D.A.R.E. lessons from core program , and learn about programs affecting middle school students, Re: drugs alcohol, peer pressure.

D.A.R.E. - Teach students again about harmful effects, positive reinforcement, changing attitudes, peer pressure, alcohol and DWI.
