The abbreviation D.V.C.R.T. stands for Domestic Violence Crisis Response Team and is an important part of any police department's resources when handling a domestic violence incident.
The Hillsdale Police Department is proud to be the home base for the Pascack Valley Regional Domestic Violence Crisis Response Team. This is a team of civilian volunteers who respond to the various police departments in the Pascack Valley area to assist victims of domestic violence. They are able to provide a listening ear, comfort, and most importantly, resources that are available to those who need them. They are trained with the most up-to-date information on what is available in Bergen County for victims of domestic violence.
