Hiring Annoucement: Per Diem Dispatcher

The Hillsdale Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Per Diem Dispatcher.

Applications will be available at police headquarters, 380 Hillsdale Avenue, Hillsdale New Jersey from Thursday, May 17th, 2018, through Monday, June 4th, 2018.  All applications and related materials can be picked up or returned to the Hillsdale Police Department headquarters 24/7 and completed applications must be returned by 3:00 pm on Monday, June 4th, 2018.

All applicants must complete an application.  Returned applications must be accompanied by the following:

  1. Applicant’s cover letter
  2. Detailed resume
  3. Photocopy of the applicant’s valid New Jersey driver’s license
  4. Copies of certifications(see below)

In order to apply for the position you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire;
  • Must have high school diploma;
  • Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license with less than 3 points.
  • Shall be certified in Emergency Medical Dispatch "EMD";
  • Shall be certified "Basic Telecommunicator";
